Purpose

An international team has come together to raise awareness for the launch of the Active Earth Foundation, via participating in a 1,000km journey by ski, pedal, sail, paddle and foot.

ActiveEarth is a network of highly motivated and experienced business leaders, psychologists, educators and outdoor professionals from throughout the world. We have come together to provide powerful programs for transformational change towards a socially fair and ecologically sustainable future.

The Active Earth Foundation is the latest project of Active Earth, and will provide funds and social loans to support social projects that lead to shift towards peace and sustainability.

The Foundation¹s Initial Projects are:

A Lebanon Youth Peace Program ­ This project is being undertaken with Mercy Corps and will provide a range of skills, resources and outdoor programs to help Lebanese youth make the transition to a peaceful existence.

A South African Land Conservation Project ­ This project is creating a sustainable micro community and environmental educational platform for local schools and universities.

All projects are subjected to researched and implemented in conjunction with the Foundation¹s Advisory Board, a team of senior specialists from academia, industry, and charity.

All Active Earth Projects are designed to INSPIRE THROUGH NATURE. Faced with an increasingly complex mix of economic, social and ecological challenges, many people are waking up to the need for a shift in how we perceive ourselves in relation to the world we live in. However, the human ability to learn and adapt to social and ecological challenges is often inhibited by ingrained patterns of behaviour and cultural conventions.

Our approach to overcome these psychological barriers is both inspiring and simple: We engage people with the dynamics of natural systems. They hold the ultimate strategy for adaptability, change-management, leadership and resilience.
